SIDBI Development Report

The Bank recently brought out a publication entitled 'SIDBI Development Report' which was released by the Hon'ble Union Minister of State for Finance (E, B & I), Shri Anandrao Adsul at Lucknow on February 26, 2003. The publication brings out in detail the various developmental initiatives undertaken by the Bank in the last twelve years. The Development Report covers areas such as microfinance and women's empowerment, rural industrialisation, human resource development for SSIs and marketing assistance. Special emphasis has been accorded in the Report to entrepreneurship development and an entire chapter is dedicated to the initiatives undertaken by the Bank for giving a fillip to self employment. Realising the importance of technology and environmental issues for small industries, extensive coverage has been provided to these aspects in the Report. The Development Report is targeted at policy makers, bankers, development professionals, multilateral agencies, NGOs and other interest groups associated with the promotion of the small and micro sector.
